by the City and County of San Francisco. The Association

the Public Defender, the City Attorney, the Sheriff
Department, the Tax Collector, the Rent Board, the Public
Guardian/Administrator, the Trial Courts, and the Department
of Child Support Services..
Any
non-management attorney who is employed by the City
and County of San Francisco is eligible for membership.
You may contact one of our officers to inquire more
about membership and how to join.
The
MAA membership has approved the MOU amendment
extending the furlough program by a vote of 167
to 73.
The
City will deduct forty (40) hours of unpaid administrative
leave during Fiscal Year 2009-10. The administrative
leave hours will be smoothed over the fiscal year
such that one-and-one-half (1.5) hours of unpaid
administrative leave will be deducted beginning
with the pay period ending 7/10/09 through the
pay period ending 6/25/10. For the final pay period
that ends on 6/25/10, two-and-one-half (2.5) hours
should be deducted so that a total of 40 hours
are deducted for the entire fiscal year. Employees
will earn vacation and sick pay on these unpaid
hours.
Employees
are expected to work during these unpaid administrative
leave hours, as they will receive an additional
forty (40) hours of floating holidays this fiscal
year in recognition of their contribution.
"Old
Plan" employees (those hired prior to 11/2/1976)
will not be required to take any unpaid administrative
leave nor will they receive the additional floating
holidays.
The
"retirement restoration payment" for
employees retiring in Fiscal Year 2010-11 will
be covered by a separate side letter with the
City.
